I have not been using Windows since its very beginning but rather since XP came out. Machines were much slower 10 years ago comparing to what we have today. I wonder what was the requirement for running windows 95 and what was the best pc at that time?
What were the system requirements for Windows through history?
Requirements for running the Windows 95 are as follows:
386DX or higher processor (486 recommended)
4 MB of memory (8 MB recommended)
Hard disk space for upgrading Windows 95: 35-40 MB.
Hard disk space required for installing Windows: 50-55 MB.
3.5-inch high-density floppy disk drive
Minimum resolution should be VGA or higher 256-color SVGA resolution.
The best PC’s at that time for the Windows 95 are as follows:
· Xerox Alto.
· Xerox Star.
· SGI 1000 series.
Hope this answer will help you a lot.
