HP has launched its new technology called VDI which means virtual desktop infrastructure. In order to get that environment to you its  a big process where you have a hardware related to that. Let me explain you clearly. First you require a Thin Client in as your desktop which can access the virtual machine. The storage every thing will be in a network storage. That means all your data will be on network. This is how a virtual desktop works its similar to virtual machine. There are lot of advantages and disadvantages in this. But it is preferable to have virtual desktops for organizations rather than home users.

Hi there,

It is actually a server client relationship. But in server client relation client cannot directly access the server, HP giving a service that will allows you to gain access the server through a kind of software. HP offering that you can access to the data of an end user with permission, and you can modify the permitted data. I think the best thing with this system is HP’s virtual machines are compatible with other virtual machine mechanisms. So it can give a more reliable data modification facility although that is not a HP virtual desktop interface.

Thank you,

Riley Weaver.
