I heard an news about releasing of the Secure Shell application on the chrome web store. Can anybody explain me what is this and why is this important?
What is the use of the ssh launch chrome application?
What you have heard is true. Google has released the Secure Shell application on the Chrome Web Store. Secure Shell is an xterm-compatible terminal emulator and stand-alone ssh client for Chrome.
It uses Native-Client to connect directly to ssh servers without the need for external proxies. It's available on Chrome OS as well as Chrome for Windows, OS X, and Linux. Chrome book users can use Secure Shell to replace the ssh command from crash.
This application is very fast, easy and reliable. Only some small things: Ctrl-W (quite useful in vim window mode) will close the window. And Harder to copy and paste than normal. For more details, You can go to Google Group.
