Safe mode is a kind of booting that help you to start your computer with as less driver as can. So it is the minimum stage to open your computer. When you can’t start your computer normally or having extreme problem after starting your computer you can easily start your computer with safe mode running in normal speed.

Sometime pc can lose files to have missing file problem then you can also start your pc with safe mode. To boot your computer in safe mode press F8 while you are starting your computer.

Hello Leonye,

Safe mode is an option that you can choose to boot from when your computer system malfunctions. For instance, when you install a program and it refuses to uninstall, you can easily boot your computer in safe mode and remove that program from there.

When your computer has some registry problems or has refused to log in properly you can log in through there and establish what the computer problem might be. You can even run the system restore utility to remove any programs that may be causing the system to malfunction while in safe mode.

To boot in safe mode, when the computer starts, press F8 on the keyboard and choose safe mode from the Boot Options, and then press ENTER.

Hope this helps.

Safe mode is used by many operating systems to get into diagnostic boot and have only the necessary applications and programs needed to be able to get the operating system to execute.

This mode is a good way to test if the computer has a software problem like drivers causing issues or if it's one of the applications causing the computer to not function properly.

In Windows, if going through F8 is hard to get right, you can also boot into safe mode by opening msconfig. Ones the System Configuration window is open, go to the Boot tab, check Safe Boot.

Apply and restart. Just make sure you remove the check mark on it as soon as you need to go back to Normal Mode.
