I Know that using an Hdmi gives better quality than using a SCART for a console.What if i use a VGA cable (using an adapter) , is that like HDMI or like SCART in quality?

VGA cables are like HDMI except ofc won't display HD video or FullHD but you're talking console here.It's this way mostly, if you want the best video quality , you need a HDMI cable, the down side on it is that the text is not displayed good and its alot harder to read where VGA has almost the same quality and text reads better.
Then again , VGA is video only , so you would need a audio cable connected to have full performance.DVI would work better if you TV has it.DVI connectors allow digital and analog signals on the same connector.VGA was made for an Analog connection between devices.HDMI was created for a Digital connection.
