I made a new blog and registered it for Google adsense but it failed and i got this message in my email from Google adsense-

Actually when you register and try to connect your site or blog with AdSense they review you account details your site or blog and according to some algorithm they have and which they follow the AdSense application is accepted or rejected.
Sometimes the application is rejected because they don’t find the site or the blog so meaningful or do not find it attractive or useful so they reject the AdSense request.
You can enhance your site or blog and the try again. Google also provides feed backs for which reason the application was rejected so that it can be sorted out and application can be sent again.

May be there's a real lack of content on your blog, if there are only a few posts in the space of quite a few years, so like a consequence you are denied based on the fact it seems like you aren't a regular content uploader.
I would recommend at least 3 to 4 posts a week as a good start point for uploading content.
