Hi Mr. Allison,

There are several reasons as your touch pad is not working.First you check touch pad settings.
1.Go to the start-control panel-double click on mouse icon. You will be displayed mouse properties wizard.
2.Please check just below the button settings in the devices option whether your touch pad has been set or not.If not set then click on device settings-settings-select check box of enable tapping. If enable it will show gray color.
3.Similarly you can check the scrolling and sensitivity of your touch pad.
Secondly re install you touch pad driver.
1.Please press windows key and the letter R simultaneously.
2.Type devmgmt.msc in the search bar and press OK.
3.In the device manager option, go to the mouse and other pointing devices and expand it.
4.Now right click on the installed touch pad name and uninstall it.
5.Now restart your computer in order to re install driver.
6.Now visit the web site in order to download latest version of touch pad driver for your laptop.
I think you problem will be solved. If it is not resolved then please contact your laptop manufacturer or hardware support engineer.

Hello ,

1. Firstly the problem you are facing could be due to a corrupted driver of your touch-pad.

2. Try downloading the latest driver for your respected touch-pad device and try re-installing it.

3. For this you need to remove the current driver and then try to install or update the driver and Reboot the system.

4. If the problem still persists , go to control panel then open the mouse settings and check whether the touch-pad device is being detected with a name of the manufacturer in devices.

5. Adjust the Clicks , and double click speed same with the pointer options .

6. Click on Apply

7. Restart your computer and check if the problem is resolved.

8. Still if you are facing the same problem then the issue would be hardware related i.e the cable of the touchpad might be disconnected.

9. If your laptop is under warranty then you should probably hand over to the repair center and they will resolve your issue.

10. Hope this solution works for you. All the Best . Thank You.
