I overheard somewhere about the Superfish malware problem that has been synonymous in Lenovo computers. I understand that the manufacturers are responsible for it and it has been put there for a purpose. What does it do? Is it beneficial to Lenovo? What dangers does it have on users?

Superfish is pre-installed in Lenovo systems and they say is a 'Shopping aid' to help people easily find the best alternatives / sources to enhance their shopping. It is for secure connection and it could break the device encryption certificated.

The problem with Superfish is that it can be easily hackable. Hackers can easily steal your important data like bank details, email, etc. if you uses to buy online products. Superfish usually allows it to break HTTPS and insert ads.

Lenovo has just released a tool to remove Superfish automatically from your system. So it is not beneficial to users and Lenevo both.

It is very unsecure for users as mentioned above hacker can easily steal your personal data if Superfish is installed in your system.
