In so many places we may find the terms are used as malware and the virus in the same line of explanation. Is either the same term or what we call synonyms? If not, what is the difference between malware and a virus?

Malware and virus, today is the most commonly used words especially in computer applications or software field. Are the two terms same, surely not? Let us know what is the difference between a malware and a virus? Malware is a term that means any bad software that hauls of the entire computer system. And the word virus is one of the types of malware, like adware, spyware, etc. A virus would act as a parasite or bacteria in a computer system and affects exactly the way it does in a human system. If the damage is very high, then it is not said as because of the virus but, instead of in general malware.
