BIOS is the firmware of computer. The basic input output system (BIOS), is also known as the System BIOS or ROM BIOS. The BIOS software is built into the PC (All IBM compatible computers), and is the first code run by a PC when you power on or boot your system (i.e. boot firmware). BIOS are very important as the primary function of the BIOS is to set up the hardware and load and start an operating system such as Windows, Mac, Linux etc. Some motherboards have a backup BIOS to recover from BIOS corruption (if in case BIOS gets corrupted). When device details change, only the BIOS program needs to be changed that is this way OS and other software applications are free to understand exact hardware addresses.

In your case your BIOS are corrupted I guess. If your BIOS has corrupted as per the service center technician and if you have a similar motherboard with the same CPU socket and a BIOS chip of the same type, you may be able to recover your corrupt BIOS if you are willing to risk the other BIOS chip too.

BIOS is the acronym for “basic input output system” and is present in any IBM compatible computer. It is the firmware of such a computing machine, which means a combination of permanent memory, programs and data stored in this memory.

The code stored in BIOS is the first program run when the computer starts. It is used to set up the hardware components and initiate the execution of the operating system.

As the technical assistance told you your BIOS was corrupted, it might be recovered from a similar motherboard that has the same socket for CPU and BIOS chip. However, this operation is not without risks and has to be performed by someone specialized.
