Hello there! Good day!
Can you please help me clarify things out. What hard drive that is a good and both compatible with Mac and PC?
How can I reformat an external hard drive that is formatted for Mac, do I need to format it for PC?
Thanks a lot…
What hard drive that is a good
If the external hard drive is formatted using FAT32 file system then it will be compatible with both Windows and Mac. You need to reformat it if it's using NTFS file system.
There are some limitations however. FAT32 has limitation over the maximum size of file that can be stored. And also the Mac OS X will use no more than 128 GB space on the Hard disk.
There is another option. A software called MacDrive makes windows to be able to read hard disk that has been formatted for Mac.
Here is a link to the site of that product MacDrive
