Comic-con is a comic book convention. (Where comic book convention is an event which fans of a comic book gather to launch activity or a program, to meet experts etc. The Gonzo is a style of offensive films in some other meaning, but if you are talking about the Gonzo in Comic-con, it is puppet character by Jim Henson's Muppets. It is also called a “Cigar Box Frackle” because his character lived in a cigar box. I think he is one of the dead comics character since this puppet appearance made 1970 Christmas special "The Great Santa Claus Switch".  Hope this informed you.
