What is faceBook chatting? I’m a new user

Facebook is a social networking site that has live chatting features. Chatting is one way of communication where you can talk to your friends via internet. Just like the Facebook features today where you can talk to your Facebook friends on-line.

To chat in Facebook, off course you must be registered first and log-in to your account. Another requirement is you must have a friend to use the chat features because you can't chat with people who are not in your friends list.

Now, log-in to your account.  Once you have logged-in, you can see your wall. The wall is your main window. You can see news and your friend’s shares and status there. You can comment to your friends post but this is not the chat window.

The chat window is located on the rightmost bottom of the page labeled “Chat”. Just click the box then your online friends shown on the list.

Click your friend name with a green dot. They are online. A box appears on the bottom of the page with the name of your friend. Type your message there and send.
