I heard of a smart phone being referred to Phablet. Is there some sort of special meaning to this that I don't know about.

A very good question Charles. I too, still do not know what really a Phablet is. But based on research, a Phablet is a tablet-phone which is much more larger than a smartphone and a little bit smaller that tablet (like ipads size). This is made to have a happy middle ground power users that they can use one device which would do much of everything. A very good example of a Phablet is a Samsung Galaxy Note.

Dear User,

Phablet as the name suggests is a device a Smartphone and tablet. Which has the capability of making voice calls, and also a larger screen size.

A Phablet is larger than a Smartphone but not as larger as a Tablet. The screen size could fall in to 5” to 7” region.

Also this device has a presence of a stylus pen. For an example 5.3” Samsung Galaxy Note is a Phablet.

Thank you
