Please help with this very fundamental question that I need answered. Will companies stand to benefit or lose by switching from their own systems to cloud computing? Why do you believe cloud computing is the answer for future networking applications? What measures have been put in place to address security issues of cloud computing?
I’m not sure if companies will lose any benefits if they plan on switching to cloud service. First of all, if you plan on using a cloud solution, the need to acquire for hard drives with bigger capacities will be lessen since all cloud service provides cloud storage. This immediately cuts the expense for buying new storage devices.
If you need to store files, no matter how big they are, you can upload them to your cloud storage and store it there. This also gives more security to your files against hardware breakdowns which sometimes happens when your local server crashes damaging one of the local storages. Your files are also accessible anywhere in the world, not only in your country.
If you happen to travel and needs to access important information about your company, you can easily get it or get the file from your cloud service. It is fast and convenient since you only need an internet connection to do all these things at your fingertips. The best part is, in case your local storage breaks down damaging all the files, you can always restore all the files using your backup from your cloud service.
