My sister and I used to share documents. We both have our own PC. We are really fond of sharing informations. We are aware that we can transfer documents by using floppy disk, usb, cd and network. But they also mention about this Direct Serial Connect. We haven't tried this yet. What does this mean? Is this more convenient?

Hi there,
Direct serial connect means you can connect directly between two computers through serial ports of both computer. Generally serial port means USB (Universal Serial Bus) port. But there is a problem to direct connect between them. You need connectivity devices for this. I recommend Bluetooth devices for this type of connection.
Bluetooth device has its own LAN configuration. Install driver software in both computer and then configure LAN connection. You need to give TCP/IP address on both computer and select one computer as host computer and other one is guest computer. Then connect between two computers by dial up connection.
