I have a Dell Inspiron which is powered by i5 and 8GB RAM. I'm facing a problem with my laptop. Whenever I press the power button, a blue light glows as usual on the keyboard but the screen shows the 'Operating System Not Found' error. How can I fix this error on my laptop?

This problem can happen for different reasons. One is if the boot sector of the hard drive gets damaged or corrupted. The boot sector is the area or part of the drive that contains machine code designed to be loaded to the RAM or the random access memory by the operating system. If this part is damaged, you will not be able to boot your computer.
Another reason is if one or more system files used by the operating system are damaged, corrupted, or missing. You may also get this error if an external drive is connected to the computer when the machine boots. If you receive this error when you start your computer, first, check if a USB flash drive or external hard drive is connected to one of the USB ports.
If there is one connected, remove it from the port and start the computer again. If you don’t see any USB device, check your optical drive if there is a disc inside. If your optical drive has a disc inside when you start the computer, the machine will try to boot the system from the disc. If the disc is not bootable then you will receive this error.
