1) CTRL,ALT,DEL

If you login to you PC through the Windows screen, chances are there that you login as an administrator. There may or may not be a password.

Press CTRL+ALT+DEL two times. A login box will appear. Click on OKto login without any password or username. Or else type Administrator in the username field and press enter. If you can login then go to control panel.

Open user accounts and change the password.

2) RESET THROUGH USER MANAGEMENT

  • Requirement is Windows XP professional operating system.
  • Right-click on ‘my computer’.
  • Select manage.
  • Open Local User and Groups and the click on Users.
  • Set the password by right-clicking on the username.
  • If this dosent help then open device manage from other PC.
  • Right-click on Computer management and click on Connect to another computer.
  • Type your computers IP.
  • Go to browse -> Advance -> Find not to browse for computers on your network.
  • Follow the steps and set a new password as above.

3) SAFE MODE AND COMMAND PROMPT

  • Restart your computer.
  • Press F8 key as soon as the logo appears.
  • Boot your PC. It will be in safe mode then.
  • Go to the control panel and reset your password.

4) REINSTALL YOU HDD

  • Remove you HDD and put it into another PC.
  • Backup all the essential data.
  • Format your hard disk.
  • Put it back in your original PC.
  • Reinstall Windows.
