An entity is an object in the real world that has some existence whether material or immaterial. However, an event is not at all an entity. An event is something that happens / occurs on a specific action / call / request. The process that triggers the action is an event. An entity can be used to trigger an event however an event cannot call for the entity.

Many Entities work together for a particular purpose to be fulfilled. However many events can happen on a particular entity. In other words, an event is a happening in the real world. The entity may trigger the event for a purpose of fulfillment.
