What is the correct way to import xsl to SharePoint. I have the latest version installed but when ever I tried to import I get a access denied error.

Read the following steps and check if you're doing the process correctly.

1. Go to SharePoint and click Site Actions. Under it, click More Options.

2. The create dialog of SharePoint should now be opened. This allows you to create different contents such as pages, lists, and sites.

3. Click the Import Spreadsheet then press Create. A custom list from an Excel data file will now be created. Name the custom list and select the xlsx file using the browse functionality.

4. Click Import. By this time, MS Excel will open and will let you select the range of cells that you will be importing in the custom list of SharePoint. Note that the column names will be defined by the first row cells selected in Excel.

5. Click Import.
