There is a solution for your problem as you asked about the client oracle software. They are unlike the original oracle software. The instant oracle is a sub part of the original oracle software
.
e.g. currently the sqlldr, imp, exp, is not included in the Instant Client. Recently oracle with the 11g Instant Client prepared ProC related libraries which are a part of the Instant Client. Some third party software is required to complete oracle software especially on Windows.

I expect it is clear now.

Basically it’s a client to connect an oracle database. Oracle’s database software allows an organization to sort its data into a relational database through a central server and allow users at client computers to get a specific information easily, analyze raw data and create reports.

An Oracle database client is a sub part of the Oracle relational database management system. This system usage the concept of processing the data on a computer by finding information stored in the database’s tables.

Formally it is defined as a server computer that hosts software, which users can access by using client computers. The server and its clients are connected through a network, which permit users on client computers to use the services provided by the server.
