What is Incognito mode on my Chrome web browser? How does browsing in Incognito mode differ from normal google chrome browsing? Is it really as secure as Google say it is?

Incognito mode is a feature from Google chrome to secure your browsing information. Google chrome is not storing any information about the websites you’ve accessed and deleting all cookies after use. You can download or upload anything using this incognito feature and it will automatically delete its history after session.

However, Google chrome can keep information about the websites visited, downloaded files etc., but it may not affect any information stored to those websites you have accessed. They may still have the record of your visit. Changes made and files on your computer remains on your computer. Incognito mode cannot affect your computer’s files too.

Hai,

Google has made much of the fact that its Google Chrome browser features an 'incognito' browsing mode that it says means, "Webpages that you open and files downloaded while you are incognito won't be logged in your browsing and download histories; all new cookies are deleted after you close the incognito window."

The trouble with Google Chrome's incognito mode is actually down at least in part to Google's own desire to store information about users' surfing habits - it uses this kind of information not only to improve its own searching algorithms but also sell more targeted advertising opportunities to advertisers.

Hope these helped
Have a nice day.
