There is this addon sonic solutions error that I receive when running explorer 8, it gives an option to delete, What happens if I choose it? will my system be safe?
The Sonic Solutions Add-on is not compatible with Internet Explorer 8. So you'll have to disable it for better functioning of the browser. Although it gives an option to delete the Add-on try this alternative method of disabling it.
* Go to "TOOLS" menu in your browser.
* Then click on "Manage Add-ons" and scroll to "Not Verified" section. Then you can disable it there.
But if it still gives the message asking whether to delete it, make it "OK". It doesn't affect your system or the browser because it is a simple Add-on. You better remove it because there is no use of keeping a Add-on which doesn't supports your browser.
In Microsoft Internet Explorer 8, if the browser throws an error related to an add-on and it provides an option to delete, when you select the option to delete, the browser will delete the add-on. Deleting an add-on is similar to uninstalling it. If you don’t need or you don’t use the add-on at all then just delete it when the browser prompts you to do so.
But if you are unsure, you can simply just disable it to prevent it from running when you are using the browser. To disable the add-on, in Microsoft Internet Explorer 8, click “Tools” then “Manage Add-ons”. In “Manage Add-ons” window, look for the add-on by selecting an item under “Add-on Types”.
When you see it, select the add-on from the list then click either “Disable” or “Remove” whichever is available at the bottom then click “Close” when you are finished.
