I use a hp laptop. I heard about the term base system device stone but do not know much about it. Can anyone tell me how can I detect the base system device stone of my laptop? Any sort of suggestions about it please.

Hi Steve Randle,

Base system device stone is shown in the laptop when it tries to find any missing driver.

It generally occurs for the missing card reading driver and depends on the model, product id and missing device.

If your laptop shows it then you have to go to the website of hp and have to download all drivers for your laptop model.

Hello,

You may contact to the helpline of hp service provider to solve the problem. Otherwise you can try installing the device from the following link, I think your problem will be solved.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp34001-34500/sp34373.exe

You should follow and install the driver from the link.

Thanks
