Now, the Quad Core Mobile devices or also called “Smartphones” are one of the latest and the most powerful (yet) mobile phones that are almost like a computer. HTC, Nokia, LG and Samsung are the names of the most famous phone brands that are producing those amazing Quad core (i3, i5 and i7 cores) Mobile Devices.

In Smartphones or mobile devices, Quad-Core refers to the processor that runs the device specifically the number of cores that processor has. Back in the days, a normal processor only has a single core but as technology advances, the number of cores in a processor starts to increase. One example of a Smartphone with Quad-Core processor is the Sony Xperia ZL.

The Sony Xperia ZL is a 4G Smartphone operating on 2G, 3G, and 4G network bands using GSM, HSPA, and LTE technologies. It was unveiled to the public on January 2013 and released on March 2013 measuring 131.6 x 69.3 x 9.8 millimeters and weighing 151 grams. It uses micro-SIM card and has TFT capacitive touchscreen display with 16M colors at 1080 x 1920 pixels screen resolution.

Sony Xperia ZL

It supports multi-touch up to 10 fingers protected by shatter proof glass. It runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean upgradable to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop powered by Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset, 1.5 GHz Quad-Core Krait processor, and Adreno 320 GPU. It supports microSD expandable up to 64 GB. It runs on 2 GB RAM with 16 GB internal storage.

The primary camera supports 13 megapixels with LED flash and autofocus featuring HDR, sweep panorama, geo-tagging, touch focus, and face detection. It can record video in 1080p at 30 fps with HDR. The secondary camera supports 2 megapixels and supports 1080p video recording at 30 fps.

It has 3.5-millimeter jack featuring Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic; Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, and hotspot support; Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP support; GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS support; NFC; infrared; stereo FM radio with RDS support; and microUSB 2.0 with MHL TV-out. It has built-in accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and barometer sensors. The pre-installed web browser supports HTML5.

Java is not supported. It runs on non-removable Li-Ion 2370 mAh battery with standby time up to 500 hours both on 2G and 3G. Talk time is up to 10 hours on 2G and 13 hours on 3G. It is available in black, white, and red colors.
