If you don't have Notepad++, then try to download Notepad++. It is a good open source editor and works like EditPlus and UltraEdit. The editor has an extended search mode that allows you to search for tabs(t), newline(rn) and a character by its value (o, x, b, d, t, n, r and \). You can select a column of data by doing: “Alt + Left Mouse click”. And now you are in Column Mode so, select the columns and start checking your work.
