Hi!

I have some knowledge about viruses but i don't know their activities. Which virus does what kind of problems to the PC ? Does anyone have any idea about the latest viruses? What can those virus do?

Some example will help us to identify which are the most dangerous. Recently I have experienced some attack of Sality or Trojan virus. Those viruses looked very dangerous to me and they  destroyed the system file and crashed the whole system.

Latest Antvirus is required to defend against those. I want to know about more viruses which can damage the whole system. Please tell me which is the worst virus for the system. I will be glad to know about it.

According to research from top Antivirus makers the following is a list of some of the most malicious viruses and Trojans.

  1. Trojan.Spy.Ursnif is a malicious program able to steal the control of your computer and steal your private information. It enters your computer via your browser and monitors the browsers activities capturing passwords, personal bank  information ,usernames, it can also shutdown your computer and give some user permission  level to that of an administrator. It can be removed by BitDefender , Kaspersky  or  Eset  Antivirus.
  2. Trojan.PWS.KATES.AG attacks through the web browser and redirects you to other sites usual of adult nature. It views the results of your search engine and changes the URL of sites you want to visit.
  3. Backdoor.Lavandos.A ,creates extra internet traffic on your computer making the connection seem slow.
  4. Worm.Prolaco found in emails disguised as a greeting card or in flash drives as the autorun.ini file. The typical behavior is shutting down the Antivirus, uploading files to ftp servers, start and terminate programs, change registry entries and steal password of sites you log into.
  5. Win32.Worm.Stuxnet affects mainly Windows OS, main symptoms are high network congestion.
  6. Trojan-Spy.AndroidOS.Geinimi is an android based virus that starts a service called "AndroidIME". Usually hidden in many popular applications and games even those credible. It sends private information to remote servers where it listens to sms, calls and other communication by your device.

  1. Java.Trojan.Downloader.OpenConnection.AI  is a malicious java applet that executes and download random files. Known when there is increased network traffic and presence of java.exe in process list under task manager.

  2. Java.Backdoor.ReverseBackdoor.A is a malicious program written  with Java programming language. Its main indicators of infection includes increased network traffic, runs automatically  during startup ,cannot be deleted since it protects itself and downloads other java files.

  3. Win32.Ramnitis manifested by presence of the file %TEMP%svchost.exe and runs process similar to the file name. Usually a basic HTML file infected by a worm.

  4. Worm.Win32.Pushbot, is a Trojan found in our mails.If not scanned, it portrays a link to a photo when it's clicked opens a new window and information from a popular social site. It then hides itself. It stops automatic windows update service and can send spamming message to mails of unsuspecting people.

  5. Win32.Viking.Gen characterized by slow computer performance,spreads through network shares and removable devices. It deletes dll’s from system 32 and also writes into it new system files.
