The moment iOS 6 is available, it will be supported on the iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2 and up and 4th generation iPod Touch. iO6 has more than 200 new features including enhanced Google Maps, Siri for iPad, Facebook integration, new calling features such as Geo-fence and DO NOT DISTURB, Facetime video chat over wireless networks, photo streaming, Safari and iCloud, Mail VIPs, Passbook, and Guided Access.
With the revamped Map, the graphics and text are extremely detailed, has turn-by-turn navigation, can see cities and landmarks in 3D from the aerial view, and provides real-time traffic updates.
You can use Siri in iPad by holding down the Home button. With iO6, Siri comprehends more languages, available in more countries, enhanced sports knowledge, and improved restaurants recommendations. You can also tweet right from Siri.
iO6 will allow you to post directly to Facebook – photos, your location from the map, or game results right from the Game Center. You may also ask Siri to post it for you.
Geo-Fence feature allows you to send a message instead of picking up the call and then sets a callback reminder. DO NOT DISTURB feature suppresses incoming call and notifications from the selected contact groups.
