I have this problem that when I run adobe update manager, and then  install the Camera Raw plug-in, or reinstall a Creative Suite application such as Photoshop CS5, the following error appears:
"Installation cannot continue until the following applications are closed: Adobe Bridge."
What will I do?

Adobe Bridge is an application included as a part of Adobe Creative Suite (CS series) starting at CS2 that serves as a link between in those suites providing a unified user interface (UI) to navigate all files associated with the applications.
It can be used in all part of the suite for example you are using Photoshop, Adobe Bridge will be opened for cached used to access it right away if needed or will be used by the app.
I suspect you used one of the applications in CS5 and it had opened Bridge, you might check if the Adobe Bridge is opened in the
And try uninstalling/reinstalling/updating the software.
