Website error message after upgrade

Here is a very silly question from my end. I was not sure if this error was just for me or it happens to others also.

Grooveshark is an Online music search Engine, music streaming service and music recommendation web software application. This website allows users to search for their wanted music, it allows you to upload as well as play it online.

I usually like this website and keep playing online songs but somehow after upgrading my PC from Win XP SP3 to Windows 7 I started getting this message.

I am trying to play from popular songs list and I get this on my Explorer window. Is this common to everyone or is this something happening because of my upgrade? Any help on this would be appreciated.

Hi,

This kind of problem is due to the upgrading of the Windows XP to Windows 7.  In this case this program will not run because there is incompatibility happening during the upgrading of Windows.  Just try to download another software which is compatible with Windows 7.

Thank you and have a great day. Regards Henjov22

Hey there!

Indeed, Grooveshark is one of the best music search engine.

But it was merely pure coincidence that the problem started happening after you upgraded your Windows operating system from Windows XP to Windows 7. When I tried to open the website, it gave me an error, failed to connect to server. So it seems that you are not the only person having the problem.

So I read on the bear page, and it mentioned something about a 'Thank you for your patience' at the bottom. And just as I thought, the site is under maintenance.  On scrolling down you will see that grooveshark.com shows when it will be resolved. If you go to that website, look at the bottom right, it shows that they're updating some backends and will be up soon.

What you can try – if you have a Twitter account, you can search and follow Grooveshark's official twitter account. They post current situations on their site, updates, promos, etc. If you can follow them on twitter, they would have posted an ETR schedule for the maintenance and possibly maintenance schedules.

If you don't have a twitter account, you can also try Tumblr, there they post their blogs and updates.

Good luck!
