Basically, you got 2 options if you want to want tv on your laptop. One of which is by using a tv tuner card in which you can use your existing cable operator subscription to your pc by connecting your cable to the tuner card. There exist an external tv tuner card that can connect to your laptop via usb.  Another thing is by means of downloading some tv receiving signal application programs using your existing internet connection. The performance of this option will based on your internet connectivity. Some are free, some are not since other channels in the cable are pay-per-view. Better be careful in the option you choose especially the second option.

Another option is to watch internet TV right from your laptop. You don’t actually need to buy any additional hardware but instead you only need a good internet connection. I’ve already used one of these types of service before but unfortunately the one I used was already discontinued because the website shifted to another form of business.

To watch internet TV on your laptop, visit JLC’s Internet TV. It has a good collection of channels worldwide but the availability still depends on the originating country of the channel. There are actually 2 options to watch internet TV. First is to download and install the JLC Internet TV setup program from the main page above. See image.

The second option is to watch internet TV without downloading and installing the program and watching it directly from the web browser. Clicking “Now in your browser too! Click here!” will direct you to the page where you can browse different channels to watch. See image.

Feel free to try the service and it only requires the latest edition of the Windows Media Player as well as Real Player depending on the stream you are watching.
