I use windows vista Home Premium 64 bit.

Recently I tried to uninstall program but operating system prevents me and gives me this message: The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation.

You do not have sufficient access to uninstall this program.

So please anyone tell me why I cannot uninstall this program.

Try "Run as an Administrator" if you are not the administrator.

You should be the administrator before you uninstall programs.

If not effective, try Deltree.

Hi Demeter,

First check to ensure that you are you are logged in as the administrator, because if you are logged in with a guest account then you do not have privileges to install and uninstall programs.

Another cause of such a problem could be an attack by a virus that denies you the privileges to uninstall your programs, and this could result when you do not use an antivirus program on your machine or when you do not update an antivirus program that you have on your machine hence making it vulnerable to virus attack. In such a case you might even be forced to format your machine. If you format your machine, ensure that before you start using it for internet access, you have an antivirus program installed.

Hope this helps

Yes dear this problem is not rarely arise but for many times these types of problem arises and individuals face these as well but in actual means this is not a problem of getting worry because many of the individuals don’t know that how to opera the a computer system having more than one users so for uninstalling it is very much necessary that you can use your PC by administration account and the use control panes to change the policies of the administration accounts and it will be changes by clicking the option of the user accounts in control panel.

Cheers.
