I have a bb pearl 8220 handset and I want to use it as a modem for my pc. I tried it but could not find a way to set it up. Can anyone tell me how can I set up the bb pearl 8220 as a pc modem tool?
Well don't worry about that since you are a T-mobile user. So, You can set up your phone as a modem. First, you must have your Blackberry Device Manager program as well as the cable to be used for the connection. After installing the application you can now connect your phone and it will prompt you a "Phone and modem option", you have to select any com port. after that go to Network connections and click "Create a new connection.
The new connection wizard will open, select "Connect to the internet". Then select "Set up connection manually" and click next, select "Connect using a dial-up modem" and click next. Now, check only the Standard modem box and click next, any name for ISP. For the phone number just type *99#. Just leave blank for the username and password.
