Hello Ron,

There is some software for this operation. The best one for me is 'System Purification Tool'. It is a portable type software, small in size and very easy to use. This is a zipped file; you have to unzip it after installation.

Now open this software and click next. Now click on 'check all' box. This will scan your device. Now click 'clean'. This will clean all unnecessary files and show the amount of removing files.

Thank you for your question.

Hi,

To remove some unwanted files from your laptop, you need first to know how they came there.

1) You have installed new software that contains Trojan or Virus file:

So, you have to uninstall the software, and then run a disk scan using antivirus software. I may suggest you ESET Nod32 or Kaspersky Antivirus.

2) You get the file visiting a website containing these kinds of files:

Install a firewall and block any unwanted access then run a disk scan using antivirus software.

Hi,

This is the most open questions. The first thing is to keep in mind *. tmp files. Your computer may have more temporary unusual files you can delete them by using the search options.

1. Go to the search box and write *.tmp in your system

2. Delete unnecessary files

There are such options in the operating systems to remove unwanted files such as disk cleanup method in the Windows Operating System. Otherwise there are so many software to solve this matter. Disk cleanup software and Error Checking software can do it better. Unless if you have not some important things you can restore your PC by using system restore and make your system restore back to an earlier time so you can remove every unwanted files.

You can delete the unused files by yourself or using software.

How to remove unused files by yourself:

  • Go to run>type "%temp%" and press enter.
  • Delete all the files there (some files can't be deleted. Skip them)
  • Once again, go to run>type "prefetch" and press enter.
  • Delete all the files there.

But the easiest way is to use PC cleaning tool. There are many tools online which is free and easy to use. Such software are Wise care 365, Tune Up utilities etc. Just download and install any PC cleaning tool. You can clean registry and unwanted files easily using them.

For that, Windows give us several tools, like disk clean up, disk defragmenter, etc.

To open disk cleanup, go to All Programs — > Accessories — > System Tools — > Disk Cleanup.

Now, you can select the drive and check the boxes that you want to delete.

However, I must tell you that this is a basic clean up utility.

If you want something more advanced, you can download and install the “TuneUp Utilities 2013” software.

Hi! Ron,

You want to clean up your laptop files. There is no software to download to your laptop by deleting your file, because it is your choice to delete it or not. I suggest doing it manually like you open your files and when you decide to delete it just right click then the drop down list CLICK DELETE.

Take note: all files you’ve been deleted it will save automatically save in RECYCLE BIN. I suggest DON’T DELETE the files in recycle bin for the good. Maybe the files you needed MORE than you already deleted you can easily find it in the recycle bin and just CLICK the RESTORE.

If you want to delete a program to your laptop just go to the Control Panel or go to MY COMPUTER on the left side of the screen there is SYSTEM TASKS choose ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS. Once you CLICK the program you want to delete just CLICK REMOVE.

I hope I give you some idea in your problem.
