Hello Jack,

  • I have recently read through your problem. You can solve your problem by yourself so easily. Please do the following as I say.
  • At first, format the second window installed drive. I hope you can easily do this.
  • Now, right click on My Computer and select properties.
  • Click on advance system setting and then click on environment variables.
  • Now click on the drive name that you have just formatted.
  • Click Edit and delete whatever it says.
  • Press enter and then okay it.
  • Please reboot your computer and you will not see your 2nd window.

Hope this will work.

Thank you

Dear Jack,

  • It seems you have installed one Windows XP on the top of another.
  • If the both the Windows XP installation is on the same drive than you have to  backup all data from it and format drive and install a fresh Windows XP.
  • And if you have Windows XP installed on two separate drives, start your computer with Windows XP, which is working properly, and format the drive which contains another copy of Windows XP it after taking backup, and remove additional line in boot.ini.

Hope this will work out for you !!!

Regards,

Marsh
