What is the metal, usually needed to develop Heat Sink? Why is it designed in large surface? What Is a passive heat sink and active heat sink? How does a good Heat Sink make? What is thermal resistance? Give me a calculation as an example of thermal resistance. In which area it is used except CPU? Thank You
Want to know about fundamental Characteristics of Heat Sink
The electronic system a heat sink is a passive heat exchanger that cools the device heat into the surrounding medium.
In computers this is used to cool central processing units. The heat sinks with power semiconductor such as power transistors and optoelectronics such as lasers, LEDs, where heat is dissipated the ability of the device is moderate it's temperature.
It is designed to maximize surface area in cooling medium surrounding it, such as air, velocity and protection design and treatment that affect a heat sink.
The heat sink is attached a thermal interface material also affects die temperature of integrated circuits.
