I saw Volume icon, Antivirus and Network items disappearing from the taskbar.
This happened after I installed 3G data application on my computer.

This type of problem comes because of some viruses and for this you have to scan your computer from viruses.Specially that 3G software maybe is full of viruses. So check it out with a good Antivirus. Another way to check is,
-
Go to the Start menu

Click the run Command
-
Write there ‘msconfig’
-
Then you can see a dialog appears having many tabs and navigation's.

There is a tab of start-up icons.

Click that Start up
-
There you see many programs having a check box as well
-
Then on those program check which one you want to appear on your taskbar.

Don’t check those programs which you don’t want to appear in your task bar.

You will need to follow the following steps to restore back the missing quick buttons from the task bar.

Point the cursor on the task manager and then right click.

Choose properties.

In the window the opens, click on customize. (See image below)

Another window will open, in it you will need to locate the application that you want to be seen in the task bar, and then select the action that says 'show both icon and notification' that is against it. (See image below)

Once you have done that, save the changes and then restart the computer.

The task bar components should appear when you restart the computer.
