The mirror driver is a virtual graphics card driver. Its purpose is to help your VNC viewer to update its display quicker while using less CPU time. With a mirror driver installed, the VNC server can send details on changes in the display faster to the VNC viewer. What this means to you as a user is your remote session will almost seem like being in front of the remote machine.
Your problem is most likely caused by an improper installation. You should reinstall RealVNC yo have the mirror driver installed properly.
