I heard that there are viruses or malware out there that can reproduce the keys that you are typing on your keyboard. Is that true? How can you confirm if you are victim of such an attack and how can this be prevented from happening. What can be done to reduce the exposure to such type of attacks?

Hi, Diego L McGuire yes it is true "key logger" that what they call it. Its job is to copy everything that you are doing on you windows, keyboard your mouse, and send it to the server where the hacker will check everyday. For email log-in, PayPal, bank, store, everything. So you must be carefully. There are certain ways on how to prevent this.

You have to be aware that when your connected to internet you are vulnerable, some malware are so good even your antivirus can't detect. So hers a tip. Just to be on the safe side. Never open an email of unknown person. If you download a software choose a site that are legit and read some comments just to be in a safe side.on your chrome or Firefox you should add on the extension a pop-up blocker because some of the pop-up are malware once you click on it. Then you are vulnerable.

I think you are referring to keylogger. Keyloggers are a type of spyware that parents can use legally to keep track of their kids’ activities online. But even if it has a positive side, these kinds of tools are being used illegally. It can be installed on a computer either automatically by a virus, Trojan, or worm, or manually by someone.

It can be used to capture your account numbers, passwords, and so on as you type on your keyboard providing perpetrators enough information to drain your bank account and create a credit card under your name. Keyloggers can attach to your computer in many different ways.

They can be installed manually by a person but most of the time it may arrive on your computer in the form of a virus, worm, or Trojan horse. Once a keylogger program is embedded in your computer, the detection is almost impossible. Because keyloggers are designed to steal data without being discovered their detection is very complex. To avoid keyloggers from reaching your computer, install antispyware program.
