Hi everyone,

On my laptop I have installed VirtualDub and VobSub. Currently I am using Windows 7 home 32bit.

This is the first time that I got this error. I don’t know what is wrong, but every time when I try to load textsub filter from virtualDub error message shows.

Please help, is there any way that I can fix this issue?

Thanks

Christina

As a workaround to the problem that you are experiencing while you are the VirtualDub application, you will need to do the following:

  • First you will need to check the CRC as follows:

VobSub_2.23.exe CB04CD86
VirtualDubMod.exe 7CA89D71
pluginstextsub.vdf 045BC7FF (for Windows 2000/XP)

  • The next thing that you will need to do is to uninstall everything that is related to that application.
  • When Installing VobSub_2.23.exe, you will need to make sure that you have checked the"TextSub for VirtualDub…" , and in case you see the "Sellect VirtualDub Install Dir" box, you will be required to click […] and then you will select the directory where you have VirtualDub(Mod).exe.
  • Thereafter you will need to ensure that you have textsub.vdf in the subfolder that has the name "plugins”. For example, in case you had X:pathVirtualDubMod.exe  then you will need to have a path like the following: X:pathpluginstextsub.vdf
  • Finally you will need to restart the operating system.

The problem might be because when you install the VobSub software you selected full installation, which actually included the AviUtil plugin. To resolve the error you are encountering:

1. Reinstall VobSub.
2. During the setup, select Custom from the Type of Installation drop-down box.
3. On the list below it, uncheck the box beside the VobSub for AviUtil.

4. Continue the installation until finished.

Try to run the program again and check if the error is gone.
