Virtual Box 5.0 Snapshot Save Error

I had been running Virtual Box 5.0 on a 64-bit Windows 7 Professional system. I used the snapshot icon frequently to back up whatever I was doing. However, I recently hit this error:

VERR_SSM_LIVE_GURU_MEDITATION

I don’t seem to be able to properly figure out what went wrong. For a little while, before everything completely stopped working, I was able to take a snapshot and override a previous one; though, after a while, that didn’t work either.

I became incapable of erasing the snapshots and got error messages every time I tried. Can someone help me, please?

Virtual Box 5.0 Snapshot Save Error

It seems that you are already using VirtualBox for quite a while when the error just happen. I’m not sure if you can still remember the last application you used before the problem hit your system.

This application that you last used might be the source of the error.

If you still remember the name of the program, just try uninstalling it from your VirtualBox or from your virtual machine. But that is, if it’s only possible with your system’s current state.

The error says something about Live Guru Meditation. If you have an application by this name, it’s possible that this is what’s causing the problem. Try removing it from your virtual machine.

Or you may try restarting your computer. After booting the system, don’t open VirtualBox yet. Check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system.

Then open VirtualBox after the disk check and see what happens.
