I have a Sony Vegas Pro 11.0 that is freezing when I use it. It has been doing it for 3 weeks now and I have to finish my project. I need to have a good, virus-free and free video editing advanced software that can help me.

Hello Lindakcarico,

I recommend Lightworks for advanced video editing software.  Lightworks is currently available for windows. It is also used by the editors of Emmy and Oscar Awards with their award winning feature films. I have also used it before and it is really easy to use. Try it, it's a very useful software.

If the program keeps freezing every time you use it, check again if the application is compatible with your computer. Sony Vegas Pro 11 supports Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista Service Pack 2, and Windows 7. Requires 2 GHz or faster processor, 1 GB RAM, and 400 MB free space. Try also to uninstall and reinstall the program.

Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it. Once installed, start Revo Uninstaller then select Sony Vegas Pro 11 among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer.

When it is finished, close Revo Uninstaller then install Sony Vegas Pro 11 back. See if this works. If the problem continues, one possible reason is if you are using Windows 10. Though Sony Vegas Pro 11 should run on Windows 10, the program doesn’t technically support the operating system. In this case, the best solution is to replace it with a much newer version.
