Visual Basic is popping up an error whenever I open it and am getting worried now because I do not remember installing anything. Yesterday it was okay so what could have gone wrong?
Component ‘CODEJO~3.OCX’ or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid
VB Fudding Tool is missing a file
CODEJO~3.OCX is a library file most often accessed and handled by Microsoft Visual C++. “.ocx” and “.dll” files are no different, they are both library files used by most programs. Since you mentioned that you didn’t install anything on your computer in the past few days, you probably need to check your machine for infection.
Update your antivirus then run a full system scan on your entire hard drive. If you have a good antivirus running on your computer, I think you will catch a virus lurking in your hard drive. VBFuddingTool is not your ordinary file or program. It is actually a portable executable file that is totally unknown.
The file bears the original name “VBUndetectingTool.exe”. It is a type of virus that was discovered and analyzed in May of 2010, 3 years and 5 months ago. Only 25 out of 41 antivirus scanners were able to detect the presence of this malware. The remaining 16 antivirus programs didn’t recognize the file as virus and still believe to be healthy.
For more information about this malware, visit VBFuddingTool on VirusTotal. You should get your computer cleaned using your antivirus otherwise the rest of your applications will get infected and you will end up formatting the whole hard drive.
