Hi trouble shooters,

This is same old error, but not finding the way to solve it. I drew an object and when I try to hatch it, is not hatching and it ended up with a lengthy error message. Then I deleted the drawing and redrew it again, but the problem is appears for this too. Please help to get rid of this problem.

Valid boundary not found.

The boundary is not closed, or a boundary object is not accessible.

Try one of the following:
– Zoom out until all boundaries are visible
– Increase the gap tolerance system variable
(HPGAPTOL).
– Cancel the command and make sure all boundary objects form a closed area

Valid boundary not found error

Hello There,

From error pattern, I suppose you are using Autocad on windows.

However, allow me to answer in more generic way –

The default value of the gap tolerance is 0.As a result, the open area will not be selected for hatching. Instead, the boundary definition error dialogue box is being displayed. The dialogue box keeps on informing you that boundary is not closed.
