Well, using a system is not a big deal, but it is important to check your system’s performance time to time to check whether it is working systematically or not. In this case, windows performance monitor helps you in examining your system’s performance. It uses performance counters, event trace data, and configuration information to evaluate your system’s performance.
By clicking the start option, type perfmon (specific term to find performance monitor in each kind of windows installed) and search it in the search option. Then, expand monitoring tools and open the performance monitor. By using this simple step, you can use performance monitor and analyze your system’s performance.
If you are referring to the Performance monitor tab in the Windows Task Manager, it only shows the current processes on the computer. It doesn’t tell whether your computer is fast or slow and it doesn’t provide any recommendation on how to improve your computer’s performance. If you want to improve the performance of your machine, just try to maintain it properly.
One way is to make sure your computer is free from malware. Perform a weekly scan on your computer to check the system for viruses. You also need to remove unwanted files from your machine to free up space and improve the performance. Download the free version of CCleaner and install it. Once installed, start CCleaner and clean your system.
You can also install PC Tools Performance Toolkit. Follow the instructions to download and unpack and then install it. Once installed, start PC Tools then in the “Dashboard” tab click the “1-Click Optimization” button to optimize your machine. This is the software side of optimizing your system.
If you want to perform the optimization on the hardware side, you can upgrade your processor to a much faster one and add more RAM to your computer.
