I use SuSE 10 System Backup tool for Linux. Everything is fine with that when I backup hard drive on my computer. However, when I tried to restore the CDs (ISO or plain-no difference) I got the message like “can’t load file system”. Does it work for CD and if yes, then how can I restore CD by this tool?

Using SuSE Linux Backup tool to restore CD

Hi,

When you use SuSE for backup you must follow certain steps to burn the backup on a cd. First of all check the space required to burn the backup disk. If it is more than 700 MB then use a DVD. A CD cannot hold data more than 700 MB so use a DVD.

  1. First check the space required for the backup process.
  2. Then insert the DVD in the disk drive of your computer.
  3. Now, go to the backup and restore tool in the settings and select backup option.
  4. In the new window that appears, select the DVD on which you want to store the backup and click ok.

Hope this information helps you.
