Hello everyone! I have a laptop and a desktop computer as well. The problem is that from the past few days the monitor of the desktop computer is not working properly but I need to work on the computer regularly. Is there anyway I can use my laptop's screen as an alternative to the monitor? Let me know! Thanks for the help!

Using Laptop’s Screen as Monitor

Hello Matthew!

This is a good question though! It is always yes! We can use your laptop monitor as a secondary monitor. But since your computer monitor is not working now here’s one good tip.

Turn on laptop and your desktop (though you cannot see what is running in desktop). Connect both with a LAN wire or internet connector (Cross-Wired). This is to share files with laptop to computer and vice-versa. I am not against with this hack but the downside of this is that your graphics will become slow.

1. Open Control Panel >> Look for Network and Sharing Center >> Unidentified Network Icon

2. Go to Network >> click information bar containing “Network discovery and file sharing are turned off….click to change…” >> Click “Turn on network discovery and file sharing.” This is one of the hardest way.
