Is it possible to convert an MSWord document into PDF using ghostscript? What are the things I will need in order to do that? And how is it able to preserve the document as-is when converted to PDF? This will be a great help for files I created in MSWord to be viewed by anyone online if it is possible.

Yes, That is possible by use Ghost Script.

Ghost script is generally making interpret PostScript and PDF files, and also testing every file to  detect automatically which is PDF and PostScript.

  • You should use type one font
  • You should embed the font
  • You should set output resolution in required level for attached picture and images.
  • At first open the file in Ghost view
  • Then select File and then select Print
  • After click on Print, then select Ghost script device, and then select pdfwrite
  • There will pop up a new window, and enter bellows options:

ps2pdf

-dMaxSubsetPct=100

-dCompatibilityLevel=1.2

-dSubsetFonts=true

-dEmbedAllFonts=true

  • Now select Ok
  • Then click on Ok again.

Thanks
