Hi Mr. James,

Certainly, there is a way to restrict your user account users from doing changes in your computer. Please follow the below steps.
1. In your desktop double click my computer icon.
2. Right click on C drive and go to the properties.
3. Select security tab and click on edit.(To change permissions:click edit)
4. Only select the read permission check box.
5. Apply and OK.
Please do this process in D,E,F drive also.So then your standard user can only read all the files and folders that is present in your system and can not change anythings.
