Hello there,

I always used a Download Manager to download files, software, video etc when I used Internet Explorer. Now I switched to Google Chrome.

My problem is when I try to download something it starts downloading with Google Chrome download manager.

I don’t want to use Google Chrome download manger for downloading anything.

I want to use my previous third party download manager for downloading everything.

How can I do this?

Thank you

Use third party download manager in Google Chrome

STEP A:

  1. Open your IDM
  2. Move your cursor to “Menu toolbar” and click on “Downloads”. A drop menu will be opened.
  3. Click on “Options”

as shown:

a window like this would open :

STEP B:

  1. In the above picture you are seeing a lot of internet browsers. All those browsers besides which there is a tick mark present, downloading in those browsers would be done by Internet Download Manager. So what you have to do is in your computer mark a tick besides the Google chrome.
  2. Click on OK present at the end of the window.

And now your Google Chrome will download the files through Internet Download Manager.
